Sermon #3: Connecting Sowing and Reaping.

Sermon #3: Connecting Sowing and Reaping.

The third sermon in the sermon series of “”Making Spiritual Connections” is: “Connecting Sowing and Reaping!”It appropriately follows “Connecting Choices and Consequences” because we do reap what we sow. And sowing relates to the choices that we make in our life on a daily basics.  One can only sow in one of two places: to the flesh or to the Spirit. If we sow to the flesh we will reap corruption; but, if we sow to the Spirit we will reap eternal life. So the choice is ours to make; however, the consequences have already been define by God.

What I really want you to get our of this sermon is that the enemy does not want you to know that a choice to sow to the flesh means that you choose to satisfy yourself at the expense of satisfying God. Nor does he want you to know that there is a season between sowing and reaping. And because we do not immediately reap what we sow, we are tricked into believing that there are no consequences. Conversely, God want you to know that if you sow to the Spirit you will reap abundantly, in due season. So there is a season of abundant blessings waiting for you, when you sow to the Spirit. Your task is to be patient and allow God to continue to develop you so that you will be able to walk in your blessings. While you are waiting, choose to serve.
